2 - Birth Of Anadimuktaraj

It was a shivering chilly night in the month of Kartik.

Usually at night all the people slept under the quilts in their houses. But today the people of Baladiya were awake. They were in a jubilant and rejoicing mood. There was gaiety everywhere. The atmosphere was also cheerful. The house of Panchabhai was decorated beautifully.

What was the occasion? What was the reason behind so much gaiety around? It was the day on which Anadimukta (of Shreeji Maharaj) was going to appear as per the boon of Shreeji Maharaj.

Everybody was waiting eagerly. Anadimuktaraj appeared as a son of Devba at 9:10 P.M. [Samvat 1901 Kartik Sud Ekadashi, Monday (20-11-1844).]

Blessed was the day and blessed was the moment. Everywhere there was festive atmosphere. People of the town congratulated Panchabhai. Ladies started singing auspicious songs. All the four daughters of Devba were waiting eagerly to see their brother. And Devba? Devba’s devotion for years had been rewarded.

Anadimukta was born as a handsome and healthy baby as per God’s boon. Devba was immersed in boundless joy. Again God appeared in front of Devba.

Devba began to pray in meditative state. ‘O Lord! You are the most compassionate! You have blessed me by fulfilling my wish. You are the most mercyful.’

God disappeared. Devba woke up and looked at her son. And behold! There was a garland of flowers in his neck and a Tilak of Kumkum on his forehead! Devba summoned Panchabhai and said, ‘Again God has blessed me with His Darshan and adorned our son with this garland as His blessings.’

Panchabhai said with deep gratitude, ‘Extremely fortunate we are that the Anadimukta of God has appeared as our son.’ Devba spoke decisively, ‘We shall never treat this Mukta as a human being. We shall never forget that he is an Anadimukta sent by God.’
