3 - Dialogue With Mother

It so happened one day. Devba made her son sleep in a cradle. She was sitting next to the door and was working. While working, she kept an eye on the cradle. Suddenly she noticed four glorious men coming out of the room.

They disappeared after going a little further. Devba was frightened, ‘Although I am sitting next to the door, how did those men enter the room? I hope my son is allright.’ Hurriedly Devba entered the room. She found her son smiling in the cradle. Devba lifted him and started playing with him.

She was lost in thoughts ‘Who were those men? From where did they come? Where did they disappear?’ And lo! one month old son spoke, ‘Ma! why do you forget that I am not an ordinary child; I am an Anadimukta sent by Shreeji Maharaj. I will take the deities who visit me for my Darshan to the abode of God. This is God’s will.’

After completing the speech, he became quiet like a small child. Devba was astonished to hear such words from the mouth of her one month old child. She stared at him. Son was laughing happily.

Devba, that very moment, remembered the boon of God. She spoke to her son, ‘See, how forgetfull I am! God had told me that a Mukta would appear as my son. But I forget everything, whenever I look at you as a handsome, little child. Now I will remember.’ The son did not reply. Devba said, ‘Son! say something.’ But Muktaraj kept on smiling like a small child.

Devba was delighted and started playing with her son. While playing, Devba said to Panchabhai, ‘Let us decide upon a name for our son.’ Panchabhai replied, ‘We shall call him by a name of your choice.’ Devba reminded, while granting the boon God said that a Mukta would appear. 'Ab' means now and instructed to call him 'Abjibhai'. So let us call him 'Abjibhai'.

Panchabhai agreed, ‘It is a beautiful name given by God Himself.’ Sisters began to play happily with their brother calling him Abjibhai. Devba was pleased at such affection of sisters towards their brother.
